Practicing for College Placement Exams: Preparing for Placement and Exit Tests.
Designed for student who must improve performance on placement or exit tests (such as COMPASS). Provides practice in a similar testing format – reduces test-taking anxiety – promotes mastery of the basic concepts covered on the tests.
- Six lessons –two on English, two on reading and two on math. Each may be purchased separately. Each module has two tests.
- Developed and tested in college learning centers.
- Updated based on actual usage by college students and instructor feedback.
Building Basic Skills Series
- Building Basic English Skills.
– Designed to help learners of any age and background master the basic concepts of Standard English Grammar: sentence formation, conjunctions, the little words (articles, determiners, pronouns), verbs/verbals, and comma usage. - Building Basic Composition Skills.
– For students who need help with writing and editing topic and concluding sentences, paragraph support, unity and coherence, audience and purpose, diction, style, and sentence structure. - Building Basic Reading Skills.
– For those students who need help with reading for main idea, theme, detail, and vocabulary. - Building Basic Math Skills.
– For those students who need extra practice in the concepts of arithmetic, algebra and geometry.
Three Modes:

Medical Terminology
For students taking courses requiring the use of medical terminology – teaches recognition and recall of terms and definitions for common body parts and associated disorders, Greek and Latin prefixes, suffixes and roots connected with medical terms and the body system. Used by personnel in medical offices and by the health insurance industry.
